Finally... After a search of a 'thousand years'. I got my new earphones! I have been searching high and low and contemplating a billion times. I decided that I should be decisive and not think anymore. And... TADA! I got my new earphones from sony :)
I guess sony is still a trustworthy brand afterall. Looks stylish and the sound quality is good :) The price is... ... "GOOD" also. At a cost of $89, I am officially broke. I guess... as we grow up, we tend to spend more money and on stuff that we would not last time. In the past my headphones/earphones are $40-$50 and I thought that was ex! My last earphones costed $59 and I remember Syl-vyn said that its too ex. And now, I'm spending even more. Well, I shall scrimp on my meals a little to make myself feel better. But if it gives me MAXIMUM listening pleasure, then I wouldn't mind spending that money. Nevertheless, its bought... So, HAPPY!

new earphones!!!
I had really wanted to update on my Taiwan trip... BUT!!!
blogger is having some problems and I can't upload photos. So sad.
Lets shift focus a little...
Today was my first pageant training. The contestants went down to 'Shine Models' for training. For someone who used to harbour thoughts of being a model, pageant should be interesting and something to look forward to. Somehow, I do not feel that way. Instead, its becoming a chore... I guess cause I have "changed" and my focus is now on other matters. Still, I have decided to join this pageant and I shall do my best and make the fullest out of it. :)
We did catwalk and the choreography for the walk today. Complicated sequences for us to remember. Good thing I'm not the first or second in line. I'm the last! Wahahha... So I can just take the lead from the people in front. Cause of this pageant and my usual agendas, I am super packed this month... I can literally say I am packed to the brim. Next week there's a photo-shoot that includes a free hair-cut and styling. Wahaha... Hope it turns out good. I hate my bushy hair now. CUT IT!
Details of the pageant... Its on the 20th Dec @ Zouk. Tics are selling at abt $16-18, gotta confirm again. And! No swimwear... its beachwear. :) much better!
Apart from this pageant thingy, next week there are 2 camps lined up. My church's youth camp and children's camp. Usually every year I'll be involved or attending them; knowing whats going to happen. However, this year I seem so lost. I'll be helping out with the children's camp yet I don't know a single thing. Whats wrong? And for the youth camp, I can say that I won't be there. :(
Time management and Discipline... So important...

a short update...
haven't had the time to really update this space...
its the end of the year and Christmas is coming. Tis the season to be jolly, yet another yr has passed and its going to be a new beginning. I am back from Taiwan... a rather reflective trip with much bonding with my younger bro and cousins. What do I want? <-- A question that is constantly in my head.
Ever since I am back in S'pore, things just pile up. Packed schedules, lots of work to be done and lots I want to do. May I have the discipline to cope. I have neglected God and its time to turn back to Him.
I shall update on my Taiwan trip some time later :)

I'm leaving! I'm flying... and Frannie is back...
Yeah! I am flying in about 6hrs time... to Taiwan! My first time going there and I am all excited. It will be a time for me to just seat back, relax, enjoy and EAT! My schedule these days have been really quite packed, leaving me with little time to rest or reflect. I guess this is the time... :) And people have said a lot about the food, so... I'm very excited! A couple of people are asking for 'metal eggs', so I'll do my best to get them! Yeah! Flying again... I like the feeling of going to the airport and leaving on a plane :)
Just when I have travel plans, Dajie Frannie flew back to S'pore... Thank God that we had the time to meet her up and had supper together! She is... 10% more hongkonger now. Why? Her dress sense. Its not S'porean at all... Ha! but nice... However, her canto has only improved 1%? Still the same... Work harder Frannie! Miss ya Frannie and its great to see you again. I can see you are enjoying and eating well :P Wahhahah... I guess the next time round I'll see her would be in Hong Kong. Book the Hong Kong trip! :)
Some pics...
Quany, Diya and Frannie... :)
The sistas!
She loves Hokkien Mee!
I was a stalker for her legs... Her legs with boots. Cool!
Fran and Diya... an image comparison... Hong Kong vs S'pore
Ok, the blog will be left untouched for a week... Its rest time for the blog too. Tata!

My 21st Birthday... Thanks All!
I have finally crossed over to adult-hood. I am officially 21 yrs old now. Beginning a new chapter in life. :) I didn't have a big party for my 21st birthday, but all was memorable. :) I had about 5 celebrations. 1st was with my relatives at my place, 2nd with some peeps from church @ Seoul Garden, 3rd a surprise mini-celebration @ Echo :), 4th dinner with my family and 5th steamboat with 'evofus' at my cozy place. 3 birthday cakes :) and some nice presents :) I thank everyone for all the well-wishes and blessings :) Pics and details below...
My first birthday 'cake' or rather, cookie-biscuit. My aunt suggested something different so we got this from Famous Amos. :)
My first birthday wish...

Group photo... (Roanna, Rochelle, Lebby, Chinny, Jonnie Wongie, Isaac and his beloved Geraldine)
For the mini suprise celebration, sadly I didn't take any pictures. I had really wanted to do so, but it was all too quick. Still, it was a really pleasant surprise! WendyMAMA came down to echo with the cake and they sang me a birthday song after my keyboard lesson. Thanks Simon, Wangdajie, Simin, Wendy, Denis and my students, Adeline and Weelin. :) The cake was rich!
Following that I had to leave almost immediately to meet my family for dinner at Spaggedies. A sumptuous dinner and after... I went for supper. Crab and drinks with the Echo Family again... Ha... We just eat and eat and eat :) It was great companionship and I am really glad and thankful to have known this bunch of people. :) Thank you and thank God! I hope these friendships stay for life. Minhui sent me a birthday sms that day and it was long! And meaningful :) I am looking forward to the HongKong trip!
Cont... ... ... ...
Steamboat at my place! We had quite a spread... Thanks Syl-vyn for the beef :)

My 3rd cake! They were shocked at how the cake looked... Its a durian cake from 'Angie the Choice'. Real nice! (Apparently Xuan said that the cake can't be too cheapo cause I wouldn't like... Ha! Good things come in expensive prices...) The cake was a great choice!
My 3rd birthday cake! I wonder what is it supposed to signify? Maturity? An old 'ang-moh'?
Whats a party without PARTY HATS and BALLOONS? Singing the birthday song... :)

Poor old man...
They were up to another 'surprise'...
The 'surprise' revealed! They made a photo album for me! :) Thanks... (Its a tradition for all the 21st birthday peeps to have a big card or something memorable)

Holidays! Vacation! Travel!
Holidays! I love them... What are holidays? For school students, that means not having to go to school. For working people, that means a break. And does holidays mean a trip overseas? Not necessary. I am going overseas! And, 3 trips coming up! Gotta love it, I'm loving it~!~! But... I am not necessarily having holidays. Oops. School is still on but I am going on holidays! Yeah! Looking forward!
1. Taiwan (18th-25th Nov)
2. Hong Kong (13th-16th Jan '08) Book Now!
3. Krabi (Sometime in March '08)
I really love travelling and I am glad that for the past 2 yrs, I have had the opportunity to travel quite a lot :) When I was younger, I used to envy those kids who would go overseas once a year. I often wondered why I didn't have that luxury. But now, I thank God. I thank God for blessing me with the finances, opportunities, friends and family whom can travel with me.
That day Wendy said she can't link studies and me together... Why? Time for me to buck up and do something about it. I have been enjoying so much... I need a balance :)

21st Birthdays...
Its the 7th of Nov today. My 21st birthday is coming in a week's time. Until that day, I am still 20-yrs-old. Some can't believe that I'm still so young. Yilin said that day, "I don't know why we hang out with you". Yeah, I am still kinda young. No big plans for celebration, not even small gatherings. I do not think I would enjoy entertaining different groups of people at a party and just didn't have ideas to organise one. Everyone says that 21st birthday is an important event in one's life. A mark of a new chapter, a time for celebration where people normally hold big parties. Well, I think well wishes and... ... ... ... presents would do good. wahhahah. People have also been asking me what I would like for my birthday. Emm, I really do not know. Or rather, I know but I don't know how to say it out. :( I think I am quite a contented person and I do not have many wants at the moment. Some suggestions for presents. Ha...
-A tennis racket? (dear evofus, maybe you could sponsor me on that, but, I don't know which to get also... sighz)
-A bag? Nice one pls. Ha...
But listing down other stuff, there is a fear of double buying. Ha... So, maybe 'ang paos' would do good. But thats TOO practical. So...
-Vouchers? I wouldn't mind them. Ha...
Vouchers from Zara? Adidas? These 2 boutiques are good.
Still, anything would do. I shall not complain.

Finally everything was over. My schedule was really packed one after another. Sometimes I even hardly had time to have a good meal.
The Borders Gig went alright; I think it was rather smooth. I even managed to have some small talk with Meilian during the show :) Yeah! However, musically we could have done so much better. Hope my next performance would be better. Meilian sounded so good that she had covered my flaws. She did well. Thanks to all my family and friends who came down. Roche and Roanna, Suiying, Cindy... There were people who took videos of our performances. Ha... It was quite cool.
After the Borders Gig, Simon gave a treat and we had a sumptuous dinner :) Thanks a lot brother... Below are pics of the Borders Performance :)
At the entrance of Borders, DVD section. Meilian (Phoebee) on vocals and me on the keyboard.
A closer pic of us...
My family who came down to support... Ha. I think they made up 30% of the crowd. (My brother and I in the middle, don't we just resemble so much? WAhahha)
Immediate family with Grandma...
I was the star of the day... With my "工作人员" Ha! But actually NOT! (From left: Denis my boss, Wendy my MAMA/my scandal/my hairstylist and violin teacher, Mark, Simon's brother/funny guy/ helper of the day)

in the midst of preparation...
Its confirmed! My performance is this Sunday (4 Nov) @ Borders. From 5-6pm. I hope all will turn out well. I'll pray...
I have been trying to prepare for this coming performance, and boy is it difficult! We are bringing mainly English songs and some Chinese numbers. English songs are really of a different level. The structure of the song and the chords are unexpected. The rhythm can be tricky too... Thanks Simin and Simon for the help! I really appreciate it a lot! Simon is talented! He catches the chords for a song very quickly and easily. Not even needing to touch the instrument, he gets it. His brain is like an instrument. I so need to improve!
God bless the performance this Sunday... I want to enjoy it! :)
